Bertolucci Bella Costa Chrono
Bertolucci advertises their watches are Mediterranean inspired. I not sure what it means, but I really like the avant-garde look and the unique designs of Bertolucci watches. Bertolucci is good at making dive-style watches that is a bit weird, artistic and intersting. The new Bertolucci Bella Costa Chronograph Watch is one of the best example. With a bit luxury watch element, this watch actually represent a homage to the diver-in a playful way though.
Sized at 41mm, the stainless steel case is fitted with an asymmetric bezel and inner bezel which are very interesting and artistic. Together, they make the dial looks more centered. And the bezel itself is not rotatable. he watch is just of 50-meter water resistance. That is why I called it a ¡°dive style¡± watch instead of a diver¡¯s watch. The watch has two versions, one features orange and white dial, and the other is full black with diamonds decoration. The former, in my humble opinion, may fits young men better, while the latter is a better choice for mature men.
The date window, which located at between 4 and 5 o¡¯clock, is another interesting part of the watch. It is surrouded by a steel peninsula that has been polished with Cotes de Geneve stripes.And Bertolucci applies the case with some lovely lines which I like very much. And you can not deny that designers of Bertolucci know elegance and take care of details. For example, the lugs is nicely curved, the crown and pushers are perfectly rounded, and the hands have elegant shapes.
The Bertolucci Bella Costa Chronograph Watch houses a Swiss ETA quartz G10.711 chronograph movement. And it is presented on a grooved silicone strap. Of course, it is not a serious sport watch or a true diver watches. But the design is really not half bad. And the price, I think, will not be very high.
